Would it be possible to include a listing of these manufacturers by State of manufacture? It would be great to be able to quickly find out what guns are manufactured in your home state. Some states are passing legislation that protects gun owners from Federal gun control laws for guns manufactured in their state of residence because Federal interstate commerce laws do not apply to these guns.
Thanks!!
Brian
Great idea Brian. I’ll look into that. For me, if I were considering relocation, gun laws in that certain state would be a huge determining factor!
What can you tell me about – Mound City Arms Co ? I have a shotgun, dated Dec. 11, 1900 and cannot find any information. Thanks.
I’ve never actually heard of Mound City Arms Co. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

Forgot about FMK Firearms in CA
Just added FMK Firearms based out of California. Thanks Liam.
What about American owned? I always look for companies that not only employ in the US but also where the profits go.
Like Bob Bousquet I have a double barrel 20ga shotgun manufactured by Mound City Arms Co, dated Dec 20, 1892. Nothing on the internet seems to reference this company except that winchester bought a paint company at mound city sometime in the 19teens.
You forgot Lewis Machine and Tool located in Milan, IL, maker of high end tactical rifles.

Thanks! I just added the link for the PDF download page.
You list Springfield Armory as Amaerican made. Nope. Made in Croatia.
You are absolutely correct! Thanks for doing your homework Alan.
I purchased a 1911 A1 45mm years ago with the knowledge it was made in the USA, but when I got it, it had made in brazil on it. Will never buy from them again !
excellent list
SCCY Firearms should make this list on your next update of it.
Entreprise has gone out of business.
How about a list of gun manufacturers who have their corporate HQ and manufacturing in gun friendly states. Seems counter productive to manufacture in a “friendly” state only to pay corporate taxes to an “unfriendly” state.
